In Loving Memory of Dandy (1995 - Feb. 13, 2008)
You came into this rescue and we found out you were sick with cancer.
They only gave you 2 months to live and the strong girl that you were, you made it 6.
You were the sweetest dog and brought only joy to us.
We look forward to seeing you again and until then we will miss having you here with us.
Faith & Myrna Fields & the Carbone family.
Trudy (Adopted November 2006 - June 2007)
Our angel, Trudy, she wasn't with us long but she stole our hearts and made us smile everyday. Trudy, you are gone but you will never be forgotten. We love you, Sara, Steve and Luke
In loving memory of Jake (adopted March 1, 2000 - passed January 5, 2009)
Jake, thanks for being such a gentle and loving presense in our lives for nearly nine years. We'll always remember you for greeting us at our cars each day as we returned from work; protecting our yard from birds, rabbits, and squirrels; rolling over to have your belly rubbed; and treating young Samuel with patience and kindness. You will always be part of our family. Love, Jennifer, Kevin, and Samuel Jenkins
In loving memory of Jaeger.
Farewell, sweet dog. You came into our lives as a senior. You were so quiet and attached to us. For two years, you were a gift to our family. You stole our hearts and warmed our souls. You were our angel dog and true royalty. You will always be loved and missed by Marsha, Tim, Eileen, Hugh and Grandma Dee.
Jaeger Sullivan April 29, 1996- December 3, 2009
In loving memory of our good boy, Bear, adopted March 2007. Bear was about 14 when he joined his GSP sister, Molly, and Dachsie brother, Clyde, at our home. They were all wonderful companions but Bear was the sweetest and gentlest of them all. He was so happy to be in a loving home with a loving family and that's what he got for the rest of his life. He didn't even mind being bossed around by Molly and Clyde. He loved going for walks around the neighborhood or on the beach down at the North Carolina seashore. He was a tough old dog and survived longer than anyone thought he would but age caught up with him. Bear left us on November 26, 2010, at age 17-plus. He was preceded by Molly and Clyde earlier this year. We will love Bear always and miss him terribly but we know that he's no longer bothered by the problems of old age and that somewhere he and Molly and Clyde are running around like young dogs again, happy and carefree. Mary and Randy Pullen
In Memory of Dakota (11/27/08 – 7/3/12)
Dakota there is not a minute in my life I do not think of you – you beautiful boy. Mommy, Daddy & Dusty miss you so very much. All your silly antics, stealing dish towels, shoes, and then running to us and wagging that short tail thinking you had pulled something over on us and wanting us to chase you. I miss your warm little body in bed with us at night. I wish I could read Dusty’s mind to see where he thinks you may have gone without him. He was your best buddy. Everyone loved you and misses you so very much. Our hearts ache every minute without you. I cannot talk about you without crying.
You and Dusty were the brightest stars in our lives. You are forever in our hearts.
Love Mommy, Daddy & Dusty
Hunter's heart was twice the size of the average dog and that is why he was the lovebug that he was. He was always happy to lick your face or plop in your lap. Hunter loved having his people nearby and quickly became a little girl's best friend. We love and miss you, Hunter. Thank you for giving us four years of wonderful memories.
Sean, Melanie & Lila
Sweet, Sweet Baron. You were only with us 4 months, but you were so special. You came from very dire circumstances and we were so hopeful that things would turn out differently. When you survived the heartworm treatment at such a high risk, we were overjoyed and filled with hope. But in the end your kidneys simply gave out and we miss you tremendously. Until we meet again Sir Baron, you take care of all the GSPs in heaven.
Siena: March 22, 2000-June 10, 2014, adopted January 11, 2002-Most of my proudest moments have come about with "My Star" Siena. She brought the essence of trust, friendship, loyalty and pure joy to my life and helped make me a better person. She gave me a reason to rise in the morning and take long walks and look towards our future together. She is missed but, I am sure she is healthy and happy now with her many friends and her brother Shadowman.
Rosie hailed to us from the state of KY. From the moment she arrived her foster Mom Carol adored her and oddly enough she was never posted for adoption......:-) She was so loved and happy in her new home. Till we see you again sweet girl.....(8/2014)
BJ was 13 and spent his last 11 years with us, bringing us lots of laughs and smiles. We will miss his expert swimming, his howling in key with the fire sirens, and most of all the happiness he greeted every day with. Loved and missed by Geoff and Megan Roswick.
Bella (December 2002 - April 2015)
You were the best kid - kind, patient and had the sweetest, most gentle soul of anyone we ever met. We will never ever forget you - you made us better people. Love Always, Mom and Dad
Rescued on Halloween 10/31/09 at around eight years old. She won over the whole family and anyone who met her with her prancing walk and loving personality. She wanted to be near you all the time. Her extreme separation anxiety brought out the worst in her as she destroyed at least a dozen crates over time. But even through that, our love was never lost for her. She was by my side throughout some very trying and sad times in my life, but she always seemed to know when I needed her to cuddle just a little closer. I will miss the bounce in her step, the deep brown eyes, and her ever presence by my side. You will be missed by your brother Jack and me but you will be in our hearts forever. On 11/24/15, you crossed the Rainbow Bridge and all your problems were gone. You are now free to run, jump, play and prance as only you, Princess Sissy, could do. Love, Sheila and Your GSP Brother, Jack
Jane was very special to us here in Rescue. She came to us as a senior because her family in TN had made her an outdoor dog due to urine leakage. We brought her into Rescue, put her on medication for that, and no more leaking. And she was an angel, cannot believe anyone ever cast her out for such a fixable problem. One of our volunteers kept Jane and she has been with us many years, a spunky old gal who'd tell you what was what. We miss her,but she was well loved and had GSP friends her last several years. Good for you Jane! You had a wonderful personality. Larry & Heather miss you.
