In loving memory of Jake (adopted March 1, 2000 - passed January 5, 2009)
Jake, thanks for being such a gentle and loving presense in our lives for nearly nine years. We'll always remember you for greeting us at our cars each day as we returned from work; protecting our yard from birds, rabbits, and squirrels; rolling over to have your belly rubbed; and treating young Samuel with patience and kindness. You will always be part of our family. Love, Jennifer, Kevin, and Samuel Jenkins

Anja was an amazingly loving GSP who liked nothing better than to give lots of kisses, hold a tennis ball even when sleeping, swim in Faith’s pool (diving for tennis balls), ride in the car with her head out the window, and poke her nose in the trash whenever she went into the kitchen to see if there was anything good to eat. She will be dearly missed by Jean Holz.

Oakley was a light that simply could not burn out. She was a special girl and will be sadly missed by Travis and Nicole Hooper.

Billy, My Mighty Dog You will always be my hero.
Very much loved and terribly missed by Mary, Sam, Morgan, Buck and Queenie.

Buck 8/19/1998 - 1/09/2010 Knowing I could make a difference in your life, give you some happy days and memories to replace the bad, even though you weren't with me for very long, will ultimately outweigh the pain I feel today. Kathy and Faith, thank you for giving him a chance - he was SO worth it. We love you Buck and will miss you very much.
Mary, Morgan, Sam and Trooper

"There is one best place to bury a good dog. If you bury him in this spot, he will come to you when you call - come to you over the grim, dim frontiers of death, and down the well-remembered path, and to your side again. And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel, they shall not growl at him nor resent his coming, for he belongs there. People may scoff at you, who see no lightest blade of grass bent by his footfall, who hear no whimper: people who may never really have had a dog. Smile at them, for you shall know something that is hidden from them, and which is well worth the knowing. The one best place to bury a good dog is in the heart of his master." (B.H. Campman)

Rex and Natascha..........Nov. 1996 Rex left us Aug. 2007 Natascha followed to play again April 2009

You were our angel dog and true royalty. You will always be loved and missed by Marsha, Tim, Eileen, Hugh and Grandma Dee.
Jaeger Sullivan April 29, 1996- December 3, 2009

Trusty
Good boy- he will be missed by the Hayes family including Neely. The house is empty without him!

KT's Beauregard of McDuffie (known as Beau-Beau), 25 June 1995 - 2 January 2010
From the moment he was born, I somehow was drawn to him; and he became my soul mate for the next 14 years. Beau-Beau was gentle, intuitive, and definitely a mommy's boy, always staying close to me. I will miss the way he stood on me when i sat down, kissed me when i needed it most, and looked at me with admiration and devotion.

KT's Amber Doll Memories (Amber), 25 June 1995 - 27 January 2010
Beau's littermate was a beautiful girl with a gentle spirit. She was kind of a clunky dog (for example, she had no eye-paw coordination; so if you tossed her a treat, it would pop her in the face!), but she was appreciated for just being a nice GSP. Both deeply loved by Karen T. Pratzner and Colin McDuffie

Abbey was a special girl, very smart and a good huntress. She came to us at 4 years old and weaved her magical way into our hearts. She overcame a life filled with shadows and darkness and developed into a darling dog who became a bright light in our lives for 9 years.

In loving memory of our sweet girl, Molly, adopted December 2006.
Molly and her Dachsie brother, Clyde (adopted September 2005), were boon companions and did everything together. Clyde didn't mind too much when Molly used him as a pillow during their naps together. Clyde was our first Dachsie rescue and Molly was our first GSP rescue. We lost Clyde on January 1, 2010, and Molly on April 18, 2010. All of us, Mary and Randy Pullen and 16-year-old GSP brother, Bear, miss Molly and Clyde very, very much. Molly was Queen of the House and bossed Bear and Clyde around, not to mention Mary and Randy. She was also quite the Drama Queen; when she was upset, everybody knew it. They called her the Diva Dog at Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital because of the fuss she made when she got her nails clipped there. We also called her Molly Three Toes because she had to have a toe of one foot amputated because of a pre-cancerous growth. It didn't slow her down a bit. She was a wonderful dog. We will love her always.

Shadow, you were a very special member of our family and you will be greatly missed. We will always remember how much you loved going on car rides, taking long walks, wading in the creek and back dancing in lush, green grass. It was always a joy to watch your face as you experienced these things, especially the back dancing. First, you would lay down on your belly and rub your chin against the grass, making yourself as flat as a pancake. Then, you would roll over and swing from side to side to get that excellent back rub/scratch. You always seemed to be smiling when you did this and you always made those passing by smile as well. —Shadow has generously left her beloved kong and other treasures for the next rescue dog to join our family. We thank you Shadow for bringing such joy into our lives. We will hold you close in our hearts forever.

The Silberberg Family

Mr. Barth and Hersheys were like soul mates. They spent many years together and he will miss his friend. Our volunteer Mary will also miss Hersheys very much.

The Barth Family

In loving memory of Old Tyler 1995(ish) - 2010. He was a great dog and we will miss him dearly. Tim, Dawn, Eddy and Rae Thomas

In loving memory of Macy.

In loving memory of our good boy, Bear, adopted March 2007. Bear was about 14 when he joined his GSP sister, Molly, and Dachsie brother, Clyde, at our home. They were all wonderful companions but Bear was the sweetest and gentlest of them all. He was so happy to be in a loving home with a loving family and that's what he got for the rest of his life. He didn't even mind being bossed around by Molly and Clyde. He loved going for walks around the neighborhood or on the beach down at the North Carolina seashore. He was a tough old dog and survived longer than anyone thought he would but age caught up with him. Bear left us on November 26, 2010, at age 17-plus. He was preceded by Molly and Clyde earlier this year. We will love Bear always and miss him terribly but we know that he's no longer bothered by the problems of old age and that somewhere he and Molly and Clyde are running around like young dogs again, happy and carefree. Mary and Randy Pullen

Cisco was a loving, sweet, stubborn, ADHD guy who brought so much fun and love into our lives even though he flunked out of Obedience Training three times. Everyone who met him, loved him. We'll miss him always. Betsy and Warren

Max had a wonderful life with us and eventually played with and enjoyed the company of 3 other dogs and 4 cats. He will be missed terribly, but we know that he is chasing rabbits and birds with his dog pals. Vernon & Lee Ann

The Amazing Sam lived just a month over 18 years - almost 6 of those years spent with me and they were years filled with smiles and endless wonderful memories. Sam, Billy and Morgan made up their own version of the 3 Musketeers - spending the mornings on a huge private farm, going up and down the trails in the woods, exploring the creeks and just throroughly enjoying their lives. Sam was a credit to the pointer breed in general and a wonderful spokesman for seniors. Everyone - human, canine and feline - was attracted to him due to his incredible and genuine love of life. Sam, everyone misses you but especially Morgan and myself. I know the first one to greet you on the other side was my mighty dog, Billy - and I have tried to take some comfort in this.
We love you and miss you Mr. Happy,
Mary, Morgan, Trooper, Bentley, Joey, Milton and Queenie.

Loved and cherished by Michelle & Dennis Salyers.

To our beloved Mazy, a great joy in our lives. We adopted her as an older dog, and she was taken ill much too soon. However, we will never forget what she gave us--- happiness, laughter, and love. Mazy, we miss you and will forever. No dog will ever be like our 'Amazing Mazy"!
